MicroStrategy World 2022 is announced!
Remember MicroStrategy World 2021, indeed it was a big event with tons of new feature announcements in MicroStrategy 2021. Well, Version 2021 was a good release except for the “Info Window” feature in Dossier, which they might have missed to pack with a complete bundle, but later on gave it the world as a PATCH. I hope nothing like that will happen this year.

As per the website, it will be a 2 days event (the Free one) starting from Feb 1 – Feb 2. This year’s event will be virtual and 100% free, Thanks to COVID-19 Pandemic.

What they are going to focus on this time?
As per the event schedules, it seems more focus will be on HpyerIntelligence, Cloud Analytics, and Embedded Analytics, you can check the even schedule here.
What’s new in World2022 ?
Library and HyperIntelligence-
There are some posssible announcements on MicroStrategy Library and HyperIntelligence, might be enhancements or intruduction of new APIs within MicroStrategy Library to configure home screens related content. There might be something on hiding visualiztion with view groups in Dossier, with the help of Library.
Dossiers-
Thers is a possibility of introduction of brand new visualizations which will come with default installation along with formatting changes forms and micro level settings to achieve better user experience on visualiztions.
Workstation-
Well this is so known part of What’s new section of MicroStrategy World 2022. MicroStrategy is working on Workstation from so long, and that is why “Developer” tool is not in their prirority list, no imporvements at all, only compatibility improvement updates in the software to work with the latest version of MicroStrategy eco-system, like we saw in Developer 11.3 version. Workstation is going to be a one stop solution to start building BI applicaiton, that is why they have stoped, “Analytics Desktop” as well and started delivering Workstation for free.
MicroStrategy want a single installation solution for end developers and users, unlike, installing a bundle of softwares to do different things.
I know it sounds like they want to defeat thier rival “Microsoft Power BI” which also comes with a single installation solution for end developers/architect, they call it PowerBI Desktop.
MicroStrategy is definetely going to showcase a loads of new enhancements to Workstation for e.g. enhacement to Python Library, distribution services, user management and ACLs.
